Complete blood count (CBC) is the most fundamental test used very commonly to review overall health and determine various conditions. The test measures about 20 components of the blood including Red Blood Cells (RBCs), White Blood Cells (WBC), Hemoglobin (Hb), Mean Corpuscular Volume (MCV), Packed Cell Volume (PCV), Platelets & much more.

Thyroid Profile (T3 + T4 + TSH)

Thyroid profile consists of a group of 3 blood test parameters to monitor thyroid gland functioning or check the response of thyroid disorders towards treatment. The profile includes measuring the levels of Thyroxine (T4), Triiodothyronine (T3) & Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH). These tests diagnose underactive and overactive thyroid function.

Vitamin B12 Test (Cobalamin)

Vitamin B12 testing is a means to test the levels of one of the essential vitamins in the body ‘vitamin B12.’ The water-soluble vitamin has an indispensable role in bodily functions such as production of RBCs and DNAs, nerve function, cell metabolism, brain functioning etc.

Iron Profile Test

Iron test to measure the level of iron in the body. The test finds out the conditions including anemia or iron overload. If the doctor observes certain symptoms including tiredness, dizziness, weakness, headaches, pale skin, fast heartbeat the doctor may recommend an iron test. The doctor may also order an iron profile test if the person is experiencing symptoms like joint pain, tiredness, weakness, stomach pain, etc.

Pancreatic Profile Test

This test helps to monitor the functioning of pancreas. Measuring the levels of amylase and lipase is important in determining the cause, whether it is pancreatitis or something else. Pancreas is a gland situated behind the abdomen and beneath the liver. It helps to produce digestive enzymes like lipase and amylase and hormones like insulin and glucagon.

Urine Routine Test

The urine routine test is a combination of tests that are performed on urine and is one of the most frequently conducted tests. It comprises of the physical, chemical and microscopic examination of urine. This test is conducted to screen for any kidney diseases and infections of the urinary tract. It also helps to identify diseases that cause abnormal breakdown of products that may be passed from the body in the urine. The Urine Routine test reports the presence of sugars, ketones, and proteins

Fasting Blood Sugar Test

Fasting blood sugar test is the most common test to detect presence of Diabetes among individuals. While fasting, our blood sugar levels become high due to the stimulation of hormone ‘glucagon’. In response to this, pancreas produces insulin in a healthy individual to balance the elevated sugar levels. However, among individuals with Diabetes either their pancreas does not produce enough insulin, or their bodies do not use the produced insulin effectively to balance the blood sugar levels.

Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR)

Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) is a blood test that measures the rate at which erythrocytes (red blood cells) get settled at the base of a tube in a blood sample. ESR test is commonly used to indirectly measures the degree of inflammation present in the body. Red blood cells tend to settle down slowly. Faster rate can be a sign of an inflammation due to any injury or infection or an indication of an underlying disease.

Glycosylated Hb Tset (HbA1c)

The HbA1c test, also known as the haemoglobin A1c or glycated haemoglobin test, is an important blood test that gives a good indication of how well your diabetes is being controlled. Together with the FBS test, the HbA1c test is one of the main ways in which type 2 diabetes is diagnosed. HbA1c is the average blood glucose (sugar) levels for the last 2-3 months.

Liver Function Test

Liver function tests are a group of tests that monitor liver health and diagnose any liver disease or damage. This test measures certain enzymes, proteins, and bilirubin levels in your blood. Main function of liver is to purify blood coming from digestive system before it goes to rest of the bodies. Liver produces bile which helps in digestion of fat and fat-soluble vitamins and chemicals which are required by our body to function normally. Liver acts as a storage for vitamin, minerals and glycogen, metabolizes drugs, and detoxifies substances from our body. Liver function tests usually do not tell the exact type of disease. More specific tests and investigations may be required to make a diagnosis.

Kidney Function Test.

Your kidneys play several vital roles in maintaining your health. One of their most important jobs is to filter waste materials from the blood and expel them from the body as urine. The kidneys also help control the levels of water and various essential minerals in the body. In addition, they’re critical to the production of vitamin D, Red blood cells and Hormones that regulate blood pressure.

If your doctor thinks your kidneys may not be working properly, you may need kidney function tests. These are simple blood and urine tests that can identify problems with your kidneys.

Lipid Profile Test

Lipid profile measures the levels of lipids (mainly cholesterol and triglycerides) in your blood. It is also known as a complete cholesterol test. This test can help detect the risk of fatty deposits (plaque buildup) in your arteries that causes narrowing of the arteries (atherosclerosis) which reduces the blood flow, leading to serious health problems. Lipid profile helps evaluate one’s risk of developing heart attacks, stroke, and other heart and blood vessel diseases. Lipids consists of a group of fats and fat-like substances that provide energy. Optimum levels of these lipids are important for a healthy living.
